He makes some other apple to orange comparisons. It's a "blind man examines an Elephant" situation, Mike. Boot was in Iraq for 10 days, and spent it with the Ist MarDiv and the 101st. He didn't have time to give a report on all the units there. He prefaced his remarks with the fact that those two units had easier segments to deal with. Those unit's results are extremely better than the Baghdad units in dealing with the Iraqs. The units, Boot, and I, don't think it is all geography and demographics. In any case, one of the best reports I have read. The fact that it confirms my previous thinking makes it easier for me to accept, of course. :>)
