Words don't make anything true. Clinton-Gore were fantastically successful with the economy. Inherited a recession and big deficits, turned it around quickly, gave us 6 or so years or unprecedented growth and opportunity , then lost it to a degree the last six months of their administration. IMHO Bush fixed something that didn't need fixing. It was working. It's called fiscal conservatism, keeping the middle-class strong and the under-class from going becoming wholly dependent upon hand-outs. What we have now is a mess except for a small investment class group and several sectors. Masive spending by Bush but continued loss of jobs, many of them permanent losses as they move overseas.
