Hurray ! Finally someone at the national level is actually saying the obvious. Amazing. It only took 50 years.

The US has no business sticking our collective fingers in that light socket of the ME. It only gets us attacked in our homeland and a ring-around-the-rosy of vicious military escalations, good for the profiteers, bad for Americans.

The truth is that US involvement in blood feuds changes the nature of the battle -- The fact of US involvement with all its money and military power immediately becomes more important to both sides than the original feud.

The only sane course is for the US to pull completely out and act as honest broker and peacemaker, not a hired military force. And certainly not a bribed military force through corruption of our political system, as it is now.
