Ed, I assumed the gold and XAU thing is fear related to this weeks events 2 years ago. I have no idea why stocks are strong other than lots and lots of momentum. TLAB is laying off. BLS cutting capital spending. A $1.5 Billion company guides "up" by $1.6 million dollars in sales, still no profits, and goes up . Almost at a new all time high. No exit plan for Iraq. etc. etc. etc. 20 year+ Bonds (based on TLT value) are up today too and have been up to steady for the last week. And I guess real estate is up too judging from that $80k an acre mountain link I sent you last week. Its ALL up. Maybe that is just what happens when Greenspan floods the market with money supply and easy credit??? That is the only answer I have. Ends badly though for a lot of people when Greenspan changes course.
