And so are you and everyone else who trades or invests.It is impossible to prepare for all of the many different scenarios possible for each position we take. One must do our best to minimize the "luck" factor that results from all possible variables that we cannot forsee .But we cannot eliminate it altogether. ( many trades and diversification help ) You believe that I gamble more than yourself because you don't approve of my methods. Bottom line at the end of the year I see that I make close to 1000 trades. If I am successful ( in spite of Mq's silly monkey theory that flies in the face of what is statically significant ) my gambles have been good ones, my methods proven valid and that is all we can hope for. The only difference between us as far as gambling is diversification and hedging . I admit that I place a larger gamble ( that I am right) than yourself as my portfolio usually consists of 8 or fewer stocks. .So ya see we all gamble .It's justa matter of degree....I gamble more cauz I have overwhelming faith in what I do....This has cost me often. I doubt you ever had a one day disaster like the one I had a few weeks ago. ( of which I have almost recovered ) OTOH I have had even better days on the upside.
