That's strange since I offered no argument for my judgment he was the worst president since Hoover. It was stating something on the way to stating something else. I don't think it makes sense to debate the issue, but it does make sense to name an assumption so your readers can understand the basis for something else.

I gather, therefore, you think any sharply critical statement, forget evidence, of Bush is superficial. Well, it takes all sorts. . . .
