>>I think many Chinese immgrants, legal or illegal, are regret to come here in some degree <<

Count me as one<g>. Quite a few people here on SI asked me why don't I just go back to China since I am pretty critical about the US. The only thing I can say is it is too late for me to go back now, can't even get a decent job. If I could choose one more time, I would not have come here in the first place.<g>

>>US indeed did a great job to describe it is a sort of "paradise".<<

Exactly, until today there are still some uneducated Chinese peasants thought one could pick up gold everywhere in the US<g>. Talk about propaganda and brain wash by the US media<g>. The effect can reach so far, and stay so long.

>>They may be better off under Kim Jong Il. <<

It is a myth. People in NK have no freedom for sure, but they have free medical care, free college education, free apartment for all the married couples, and a guaranteed employment. Yes, a lot of people would rather have freedom than all of the above, but not all the people. Wonder why there are plenty grievances in ex-Soviet Union, and in China too?<g> If one day, Cuba adopts market economy, I can bet on it that plenty of their people would complain too.<g>
