He would make a much better Governor, but that's not the way the cookie crumbles. If he stays in as a spoiler and gives it to Cruz, it will be a disaster for California.

Isn't it going to be a big disaster no matter what happens in the recall election next month in California ???

The way that I see it is if Arnold wins the recall, it will be do nothing Democratic Legislative session until 2004. They will be bitching and moaning about how the Republicans stole the election and overturned the "will of the people". It would have been the same nationally had the Democrats had control of the US House.

The best outcome in my mind is that Davis is recalled and Bustamante wins. Bustamonte just radiates "sleeze". I expect Bustamante to be a complete disaster and maybe even have corruption changes filed against him for the Indian nations money that he is taking.

The best outcome is for the California Democrats to get nailed big time for the disaster, then maybe more than a few voters will then switch parties and a real solution to the mess can be started.
