Another issue that doesn't get discussed is the effect that this "free license" bill will have on van and truck drivers. Currently, those companies that use vans/trucks etc. in their business are required to have licensed drivers. To get licensed you must be a "legal" immigrant or a citizen (insurance). Davis's bill essentially nullifies that requirement. Will the companies now hire illegals to save money? All the proponents of giving anything and everything to illegals say that "we need" their services and therefore, should not oppose giving them the same benefits as legal immigrants or citizens. IMO, the bottomline here is that Davis, among others, is power mad and could care less about the ramifications of this bill.
