Cessation of resistance is not sufficient. We all know that on the average men are stronger than woman. Cessation of resistance can simply be the woman's strategy to keep from getting seriously hurt. And that is particularly true if the man is drunk and lacks normal control.

"Cessation of resistance" is different depending on what it is "Cessation of resistance" to. It can be stopping resisting , non violent, non threatening, non-painful, non-forceful pressure or it can be stopping resistance against direct physical force or in the face of a severe threat. If the man isn't using any sort of actual force or threat then I don't see how his strength makes much difference. If he is using his strength to impose his will on an obviously unwilling person then it is rape.
