Oh, sure enough, Deir Yassin one more time. It's the one example you've got - against hundreds of examples of Arab raids and terrorism from 1929 on, so here we go again.

There was a war on at the time, with Abdul Khader Husseini's men using the towns by the Jerusalem road like Deir Yassin to ambush the convoys to Jerusalem. Jerusalem was under siege and near starvation. But do we ever hear that, or any other piece of context? Nah. Just Deir Yassin, that magic talisman.

Oh btw, unlike the Palestinians, the great majority of Jews were horrified at the news, and Ben Gurion brought the Irgun to heel as soon as he could - only six weeks later, while fighting was still going on. Ever heard of the Altalena?
