Sadly the hatred among people began in the beginning. Cain slew Abel for no acceptable reason. From there, the hatred, warfare, slavery, holocausts, and other atrocities, grew to unthinkable proportions. There is little one person, or even large groups, can do about it. The monster has grown too big, and too strong.
I wonder if those parents that just came from church, realize that tobacco was not known to the world of the Bible, at the time, and no mention is made of tobacco, in it's pages. It may be a nasty habit, of which I have been guilty in the past, but it is not a sin. Those that call things sins, that are not so recognized in the Bible, are guilty of false witness, which is a sin.
I, also, was very saddened by the loss of my Son, but accept it because I feel sure that he has gone to that better place. Exactly what Heaven is, I do not know. Since precious metals, and material things, meant nothing to Jesus, AKA God, I doubt that the streets are paved with gold, and that souls live in mansions. It is said that we will receive "heavenly" bodies, which tells me that we will have shed this animal physique that has been nothing but a vehicle for our souls, and have the freedom of a new existence, in a new world.
Since the "higher ups" can no longer dazzle us with brilliance, they are baffling us with bull****. All the governments of the world are corrupt, and the common citizen doesn't have much of a chance to live his own life in peace. Not only are the wars creating havoc on the planet, heedless humans are destroying their own habitat, and that of the of the creatures of the Earth that have no defenses against the abuse of humans. IOW, this planet is in a hell of a predicament. Literally!!!!
