I am using an Athlon 2400 with 512 meg of ram, 60gig HD and a G4TI4200 128meg video card and it is fast enough for all the games out now but they keep coming out with games that require all most all the resourses of what I have.
I would not get anything less than a pentium 1.8 and at least 256 of ram. Most games now take at least 100meg+ of HD space
