Only if you have backed it up. Cleaning your registry "can" put you out of business if something goes wrong. Is it a good idea? Yes, I think your machine will be less susceptible to program conflicts and/or glitches if you don't have a bunch of useless junk cluttering up the registry but given the size and number of entries in the registry a few leftovers are unlikely to make a big difference. This is JMO and you'll probably find others with the exact opposite. Unless he has changed mr.mark uses RegCleaner. This is a link to the free version. There is now a pay version available of jv's power tools which includes Regcleaner. I'm using the free version of power tools (doesn't include the latest updates) and have never had any sort of problem with it.
