I checked out the May 31, 1997, semiannual report for Fidelity's New Millenium Fund and found that as of that date the fund listed the following assisted living stocks: Sunrise Assisted Living and Assisted Living Concepts.

This fund specializes in stocks that have some trendy concept going for them.

Anybody have an opinion on General Nutrition ? This is the largest chain of vitamin sellers and seems to fit the needs of the baby boomers as they get more health conscious and into alternative and herval remedies.

Along the same lines, specialty food stores which sell organic foods stand to benefit from health conscious boomers. Wild Oats is one recent IPO in this area. This segment of the grocery market is growing faster than food sales in general.

ps: Les, I just noticed that you covered some of this material in your
post #7. I'll let it stand anyway.
