Your credit card probably covers your rental "insurance". In any case, if I had paid with a card there would be a hold on the payment until I felt more comfortable with their attitude. Certainly, it appears that your obligations under the no additional "insurance" were probobaly not adequately explained to you. Did the car shimmy a little bit as you drove? You likely had a belt coming apart in the tire from the beginning. Tell the bastards to go to Hell. After all...they almost sent YOU there. <g>
