Mission Creep
Hmmm...try this...
1998 - Mr Clinton, let's invade Iraq (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle, Wolfowitz, etc.., aka today's bush administration)
2001 - Sept 11
2001 - Axis of evil, you are with us or agin' us, do it our way speeches by a very inexperienced bush (prodded by a neocon cabinet strongly influenced by israel special interests)
2002
- The UN is irrelevant (nearly everyone in the bush adminstration burning bridges at will, we don't need anyone...remember this one later)
- Old Europe insults (Rummy referring to a new center of gravity in a collection of hapless countries that desperately need US $$)
2003
- War is my last resort (Bush broken record, lie repeated ad nauseatum...see 1998)
- I am a patient man (another bush broken record lie, repeated to sickness)
- We can do it alone. England can pull out (Rummy's comments met with consternation in UK parliament)
- Powell speech highlighting dodgy evidence at the UN, now totally discredited (mobile labs...LOL)
- British "dossier" published in which a student's PHD thesis is used to form the basis of war in Iraq
- War is launched. We cannot allow the world's worst leaders to posess...etc.. (says bush, while NK, a country coincidentally having a huge conventional army, says it is building nukes...what's wrong with this jaypeg? )
- We can win in one and swiftly defeat in the other (rummy remark about US ability to fight in Iraq and NK at once...a pletora of retired army advisors, and active ones secretly, ridicule the comment)
- Mission accomplished. (Stuffed crotch bush proclaimes from deck of carrier anchored off San Diego, after a dangerous sortie over southern california)
- We can't find WMDs....we are under attack, Iraq is in a state of near chaos, we are losing a soldier a day, this is a mess that threatens your re-election in 2004 (rove talking to bush...ok, I extrapolated that one)
- Nearly everyone that visits Iraq comes back shocked and awed at the mess. Republicans break rank and call for more troops and internationalization of the occupation.
- bush appeals to the UN and nations he and most in his cabinet insulted in the runup to the war
- The world probably gives bush (and unfortunately America) the italian salute.
- until we have a new president - we deal with this this mess, spend a fortune, lose a lotta soldiers, eventually leave and the country goes back to anarchy and civil war.
