Naturally, one would have to assume that the Pal PM is not a total stooge to Arafat in order for Arafat to be undermined by funding of the PM's office. Perhaps Abu Mazen could have done it if he had been funded. Won't be able to tell now.

Are you aware of any other Pal figures who might present a credible challenge to Arafat if sufficiently empowered?
