Jacob, At least your not emotional on this one :-) I guess there must be some issues with the education system in Alaska, because here in North Carolina they are taught about the trail of tears and other atrocities despite Jackson being a native son. My wife and I got into a sustained argument with my older son on the issue of Columbus. He was being taught some very different views on his exploits than to which we had been exposed. After much research it was difficult admitting that our generation had been exposed to such narrow viewpoints. However, not all aboriginals were innocent or even noble. Lots of bad stuff happened here before your ancestors came to America. At least I am Irish and had no part in it. You must feel pretty guilty being of english protestant heritage :-) John
