Jacob brought the idea up that pogroms were in some way connected to Indian/Hindu actions against Moslems. My feeling about it is that Jacob is off the wall on this one. I spent some time in India(Bangalore) on a contract and had a chance to talk to some people in industry, both Hindu and Moslem. I didn't get the feeling that pogroms existed. I felt that a good deal of animosity did exist between various groups in the area as well. One person told me to look at the Indian paper money, I think he said there are 14 languages on the bills. And then he said see, we have many problems here. But I was only there for 12 weeks so what do I know? So I asked you what you thought.
