taxes.....Yes, 2002.. I just handed mine off to the accountant today

Everyone tells me every year to just to get an accountant to do them. But... don't you have to spend loads of time getting lists of everything ready for the accountant? I know one man, a self-employed writer, whose accountant gave him a special set of folders to drop his receipts, statements, relevant notes into all year, and it made him so dazzlingly conscientious that when January rolls around, he can really just drop the thing off.

But I"m still working on lists. And by the time they're ready for the accountant, it's pretty easy to stick the numbers into Turbo Tax.

Is that wrong? I mean, does an accountant do a lot for you even if you are really bad at keeping organized ongoing records, receipts, etc?

BTW: I got this in by PM today. (Ahem.) Posted it on GWB, the Number One Hot List thread, and here it is again...
