why don't we nationalize the brokerage business first? We tried unfettered capitalism there, and... Seriously, nationalized health care is just a bad idea. Why should we socialize the consequences of preventable illness such as lung cancer, heart disease, and obesity?? A free market system would require those with bad habits (higher risk) to pay more. This does not happen in our current system. Why shouldn't it? P.S. Don't worry, I'm sure your current position would be a GS-9 or even a GS-10. opm.gov
