And, big news, a lot of New York City public schools are in very bad shape. We hardly needed these standards to tell us that It is big news, because we know have a standard to judge them by, even if not perfect. Before, they could just shrug their shoulders and ignore the public. The old "more men and money" mantra that you espouse doesn't hack it anymore.
