i don't think the blackhats are looking for what is easy. they seem quite capable and willing to rise to a challenge, in fact.

they seek notoriety, and large scale results.

attacking microsoft gives them both.

i am not saying that the unix world is not safer right now. i am offering the POV that if it became as widely used as microsoft products, then its fine security record would probably be looking a lot shabbier.
