I think the metaphor is funny. One could argue about it for the fun of it, along the lines of How Is the Log Not Like Jim & Tammy, jig saw fans, and SNL viewers? but moving right along, here's an interesting article from Sunday's NYT Mag. It contains some apparent internal contradictions, but it's interesting anyway, though not mind-boggling. There are terms used in it that one will hear again. Also, it uses as an example of one of the psychological phenomena being studied, mind-states associated with sexual encounters of the quasi-rape sort that were discussed here.
