I spoke to the IR person at Eurozinc (EZM). He was very guarded, but I suspect there are some talks going on in Portugal about the possible reopening of the Aljustrel mine. The other thing he mentioned is the potential "China effect" on the price of zinc. I didn't realise but apparently within the last 6 months, China has gone from being a major exporter of zinc concentrate to being a net importer. If that is so, it could have a big impact on LME zinc stocks.

BTW, while trying to find a chart for zinc at StockCharts.com, I keyed the word "zinc" into the symbol search and only got two hits -- one of which was Eurozinc. So if anyone's looking for a potential zinc producer, they're likely to find EZM! But all depends on the zinc price...
