Foxlette, the conservatives have no right to claim Sept. 11th as their own. It was AMERICA that suffered on that date and if an AMERICAN wants to present his views of what that day means or should mean, then so be it.

Those that claim that dissent with the policies of the Bush administration on the "war on terror" should be suspended today, remind me of those who have consistently chaffed at ANY criticism of this administration "at a time of war." A strong democracy REQUIRES strong debate on issues as important as our role in the world and whether we should be continuing a possibly doomed attempt to convert an Arab nation to democracy at a cost of billions of dollars and the health and lives of some of our citizens.

Regardless of the conviction of your political views, I'd think you'd understand that.
