C2,
Well once out of the country, he may have an accident? In country, this might, and i emphasize might, give the new guy some wiggle room. I also think that Sharon should start the evacuation of some more settlements that perhaps are legal but outside the bounds of Israeli power after a deal is struck. Friedman said today in the NYT that perhaps each tough action should have a conciliatory one attached to it to give the Pal leaders something to point too. Like, they kicked out arafat and bombed a Hamas home, but they evacuated 10,000 settlers. Friedmans article was a good one today. You have to consider what he says although sometimes on its face it may appear illogical. mike
