Bush has broken the following pledges from 2000: to stand up for working people, to be the education president, the environmental president, to put SS in a locked box, not to nation-build, to be humble and compassionate, to ratify Kyoto Treaty, to work with our allies, to fix our energy problems, to create jobs, to bring energy prices down, to punish corporate crooks, to restore dignity and honesty to the White House etc. etc. etc. Bush also told a lot of lies in 2000 as he was flying around in Enron's private jets, but that's another matter.
The only promises he kept were to get rid of environmental regulation to increase pollution and also to cut taxes, though he didn't tell people his tax cuts would favor the very rich and give the middle-class crumbs. |
