I do remember Gore had more votes than Bush. Not so sure if that meant he would have won if they were counted before Bush was declared president by Supreme Court who wanted to quickly end the circus.

Neither Gore nor Bush was a candidate I could get enthused about. But now we are stuck with a menace instead of just mediocrity.

Agreed. Ignorant menace, who is proud of never having read a book, and never having travelled the world. It is a Greek tragedy.
