If he does use dirty tricks it just so he can win. And while he is highly partisan you haven't presented any evidence that he is behind an unusual number of, or unusually nasty dirty tricks. If you want to see the attempt to destroy opponents you can find them by looking at the attacks on opponents of Clinton during his scandals or the smear campaigns against some recent judicial nominees.
