The games that people play. They will probably split the stock to keep it going up.

Kirby:

The Board of Directors can approve stock split providing there are enough stocks authorized but not issued. Currently there about 98M shares of AOL common stocks oustanding. If the authorized number of share is around 230M shares then they can split 2 for 1 (the rest is for stock options, incentives etc). I do not have last year's annual report and stockholders's meeting agenda to know the authorized number of shares.

Please note that stock split will not guarantee the stock price will go up. If the book stinks, no matter what you do the odor still smells.
