It may be true that the DNC does not favor Dean. I have seen some evidence of that.

I do think it is tough to stop a moving train, however, and the attacks on Dean are not unexpected since he is the front runner.

I would hate to see Gephardt or Kerry get the nod from the DNC as I think neither of them could beat BUSH. I do think Dean, Clark or Gore has a chance to beat BUSH.
