I don't think Dean is going to go 3rd party. That makes no sense.

Bush would get at least his base which is 40% of the vote and that leaves 35% democratic and 25% independent to split between Dean and the DNC candidate.

I still believe that Dean is the strongest candidate, with the most momentum and he will pick up more undecided voters.
They will start to make up their minds once they start paying more attention to the primaries following the CA recall.
