re: healthcare

The problem is here we are 10 years later and healthcare had gotten worse, not for your avg individuals (it has gotten worse there true)- but for businesses which is where the real problem lies. Healthcare is turning into the national version of the California workmen's comp crisis and somebody has to do something because small business is fed up.

If Bush were doing nothing then maybe he would get a pass. But he is not doing nothing. He is creating another HUGE ENTITLEMENT for prescription drugs for seniors while the real crisis of small business healthcare and emergency services for states goes unchecked. This senior drug plan is going to cost 400 billion dollars, but your average citizen can very easily see that a much cheaper and easier fix would be to simply open the drug market to Canada. Bush won't do that, because he is in the pocket of his wealthy donors, be it drug companies or Halliburton, or Bechtel or you name it.

People have reached the boiling point over this and maybe Dean's proposal isn't the best but at least it isnt YET ANOTHER blank check from the US taxpayer to some CEO.
