"...I mightily disapprove of discrimination.
yes yes yes you keep telling us how much you are afraid of being seen as anti- anything that is cool to be. I doubt that you can imagine how intolerant you appear. You are trying way to hard to make it an issue of bigotry. It is not. You, like solon, are way too worried that other people are being hateful behind every bush. Had you looked at the rationale instead of doing triple flips to over-look the reality of the situation, out of fear of being accused of being anti- (the only thing you seem worried about) you might see that.
"To that end, I offered precedent as a way for him to get around the woman issue."
The man has great respect for women. He doesn't want to get around anything. He takes offense at your accusations that he does not have a sexually mature outlook. He admires women and holds them in high regard. He knows that this great value that he holds would be compromised from time to time if he was forced to follow your advice and so he has opted for a higher standard. You ... ... ... ... have yet to consider the value of that. I see the "woman issue" as yours, not his, btw. He has very good relations with women in public and in private. He has chosen not to put his hands on them except under the most honored of sensual conditions, with forthright approval of himself, the woman, and the mores of society in full agreement.
" I still think he should choose another line of work."
How tolerant, open minded, and compassionate of you. You want to take a man who is good at his work, likes it, is successful at it, has a satisfied clientele; and send him to fill out an application as a Walmar stock boy, because ..... oh yeah, you don't have a reason outside of some vague undeveloped hint that somebody someplace might think he was a bigot if he is not willing to stroke women against his will on demand... or worse that you might not be seen as anti-anti enough. |
