I have a Windows XP machine that is rebooting nonstop - it gets just to the user logon page and reboots itself. Could be a W32.Blaster infection which has been reported to cause frequent restarts. W32.Blaster.Worm securityresponse.symantec.com If the RPC service crashes, the default procedure under Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 is to restart the computer.
