Bush inherited a surplus not a 1.5 trillion deficit.

Every chance they have, Bushies rip apart pollution control regulation, not to mention protections of our wildlands. You're just plain blind if you don't realize that. During his tenure as Texas governor Bush was well-known for cash-for-pollution deals with the oil-chemical biz. He is part of the "save pollution" lobby, refusing to clean up and pushing to burn more and more of the dirtiest fossil fuels, while discouraging conservative and efficiency.

Bush's EPA is a joke. He walked away from Kyoto after promising to support it. He hires former industry lobbyists to run the Interior department so to "harvest" not protect wildlands, and it's open season for every gas, coal and oil digger and driller, no matter what the environmnental damage.

Bush has no health care plan. Nothing on the table. His only idea is to push seniors into HMO's and privatize the whole thing. That way corporations make $$ and consumers pay more and get less. Health care costs have been rising 15% a year and Bush is in bed with the drug and HMO companies who are doing it to consumers. Plus he is trying to cap lawsuits against these companies to tiny amounts which means they basically have carte blanche to sell dangerous drugs or provide shoddy healthcare.

Bush is a phony education president. Texas ranked 48th in key eduction categories when he was in charge and now he's brought that "stick it the public schools" attitude to DC. Millions of kids are being left behind, and his teach to the test idea not only falsifies success, but his "high standards for teachers" test often punishes effective teachers. Plus he has under-funded the entire thing. And let's also look at massive cuts in college scholarships and Americorps.

Bush's tax policies let the rich off real easy while draining the Treasury. That combined with Bush's massive spending have set us up for a collapse of social programs. I believe this is intentional. Social Security is not just out of its locked box, it's going broke. Another broken promose of his.

Contrast with the Clinton years when everyone did well and three was oportunity for everyone, not to mention relative peace on earth and good will amongst the US and all its allies.

Bushies can make up all the excuses they want and try and blame CLinton for everything but those dogs don't hunt anymore. The buck stops on Bush's desk now and he and his neocon minions must be held accountable.
