While MA is a much larger State than Vermont, and therefore doesn't have the magnitude of problems that Massachusetts has, I wonder about your, statement that the Vermont has lots of money (compared to MA).

American Spirit: "Vermont is Vermont. A world unto itself. Ever been there?
It's a real nice place without any serious problems. They have a lot of money, a low population and no urban environment at all. So they can afford to be idealistic. Massachusetts is very different"
