So it's eight now? Don't you remember, late last year the NYT reported seven, and several Alaskan meteorological stations used the web to correct the figure to 2 1/2. The NYT didn't publish a correction if I remember right. "Crack, Sag and Burn" is just too atttractive for them.

I don't doubt there are areas of sharp local change. But that in itself doesn't prove anything.
