bsb, much as I opposed this war before it started, now that you're there I'm not sure there are any other good options -- I doubt the French would be stupid enough to take it off your hands, and pulling out prematurely would only further harm your international reputation, as well as encouraging the perception of America being weak that al quada wants to foster. Probably the best option would be to eat some humble pie and get the U.N. and the Arab League involved as quickly and as much as possible.

What I would do is reverse the stupid tax cuts, but of course that will never happen, as they are at the heart of the neocons agenda to bankrupt the country and thereby force the reduction or elimination of all those socialist entitlement programs like social security and medicare.

Things could get real interesting in about 20 years when you have all these elderly boomers, sans teeth, sans everything but guns. <ng>
