Acne indication is for a bpi derived product, why try!!!they have not make the case for eye infections, they have not make the case for otitis media (and otitis media is way a large market looking for a complex drug for ENTs to deal with), they have not make the case for Cystic Fibrosis (and ANYTHING that provides benefit will be pay for by the third party payers in CF), bpi for bypass "design", please.

For the eye, Allergan drop it, that is the case.

For the otitis, some work in Holland, tha is the cheese.

For the Cystic Fibrosis, if you can make it there you can make it in NY, xoma could not make it there.

Now the skin is the untarget of the shotgun, shooting like that is what makes xoma aka xoma.

Bpi is quite expensive (up to my knowledge, but maybe ceoperson has a different source of reliable information). How to justified a "bpcream, or bpointment" maybe the concentration will be very small, some 0.01%, no more than 0.1%, a 1% bpcream will be a fortune, a $500 dollar vial for 2 weeks of use!!!

The case could be make for the supersevere acne (and that is a sizable population, I will say 250,000 and it could be more), if it works then it will prevent years of treatment and plastic reconstruction, the economical case could be made. They could probably limit to the superworstcritical acne (50,000) get orphan status indication and money could be made (is the Genzyme way).
