Brian,

I believe $87B can be used far more effectively to protect the US from terrorism. I don't believe we will produce a democracy in Iraq. I believe we should withdraw all our ground troops. If that requires turning all control over the reconstruction of Iraq to the UN, then I am in favor of it. We always have the option of pin point bombing and special forces raids to correct any new problem that arise.

It is ironic that while our anti-Soviet policy led to the overthrow of Allende in Chile, it also led us to support the rise of Saddam in Iraq and the rise of Bin Laden and Al Qaida in Afghanistan.
