That's essentially what her post itself said:

She and the article were simply trying to twist a long-existing part of military administration into a charge against the Administration. And I know of other instances where allowances once received will be temporarily withdrawn if whatever the allowance is for (housing, say) is supplied by the military, so it seems reasonable.

I'm quite sure the charge is essentially BS. The Congress has much more to do with the actual running of the military than the President. The President may order them into action and to cease fire, but such things as military law and administration are ultimately under the control of Congress.

And I'm quite sure because I cannot imagine George Bush doing such a thing.

I can imagine a desperate liberal twisting the truth to turn it into a lie, though.
