Acacia Technologies Licenses Digital Media Transmission Technology to Dellwood Holdings

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 2003--Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTG - News; Nasdaq:CBMX - News) announced today that its Acacia Technologies group has entered into a License Agreement for its DMT technology with Dellwood Holdings, A.V.V., an Aruba Company that owns and operates over 100 well known adult websites, as well as a popular Age Verification Service that provides access to over 50,000 websites.
Acacia has now entered into 38 license agreements for its DMT technology.

Acacia's DMT technology, which is covered by pioneering patents, relates to audio and video transmission and receiving systems, commonly known as audio-on-demand, video-on-demand, and audio/video streaming, and is used for distributing digital content via several means including Internet, cable television, and wireless systems.
