The shorts have been on xecm since beginning of year. My sources tell me that securities purchased on margin sit in your brokerage's pool, and can be lent to other brokerages for short sales. My account is at Fidelity, and they indicate to me that my position in XECM, held in CASH, is NOT lendable. XECM needs to trade above $3 for a month before we can get on Pacific, or whereever. Once there, short interest must be publicly stated. Contact your firm, and ask if securities they hold for you are lent out.
The shorts are in effect pounding down the stock price selling shares they don't own. To overcome this, shares have to get scarce. Short squeeze would be in our advantage.
