No, I presume "all things being equal," which is what one does when one is trying to isolate a factor.

At this point in history, the likelihood of a gay sibling making a difference in a relative's survival to adulthood is trivial. Perhaps at one time that was so when kids didn't so easily survive, but not now.

The most we can say is that we don't know what other factors might influence. But we can reasonably assume that the more siblings there are to produce offspring, the more offspring there will be. Parents of only children will usually have fewer grandchildren than, say, Tim's parents.
