But the genes weren't set in our makeup now- now doesn't really matter, in terms of the questions posed in this argument- re: whether the genes are positive in terms of their adaptive value.

This actually goes to the point I was making, about the 100% relation of siblings- as opposed to the only 50% genetic relation one has to a child.
