John Kerry's communications director has "resigned" as Howard Dean continues to lead the pack. "Chris Lehane's departure comes amid speculation of a wider shake-up in the Kerry campaign, which has been torn by internal fights and a lack of public support from the candidate," the Associated Press reported today. The buzz: Lehane, who was Al Gore's press secretary in the 2000 race and worked for Bill Clinton, is mad because Kerry has responded too wimpily to Dean. The upshot: Expect the Dems to stop blaming everything on President Bush and start devouring each other.
