they had the veep on tv yesterday talking about how he was a "deficit hawk." i coulda sworn i heard, "i'm a deficit hawk during everyone else's administration, but we understand there are exceptions like when i'm in office." What did you think of the "economic scorecard" Russert showed him. Cheney's answer was that the recession was to blame- nothing really specific from Cheney though. I think Russert was a little soft on him but of course you don't want the guy to have another heart attack on your show, that would be bad PR! :-)
